College Rules

Rules and regulations for college, general conducts are essential for maintaining a structured and disciplined academic environment.


Here are some common rules that institutions might implement :

GENERAL RULES & CONDUCT :

CODE OF CONDUCT:

1. The students of the college are required to observe the following code of conduct both within and outside the college : Maintain discipline and decorum. Ragging is strictly banned in the college as well as in the hostel. A student found guilty of this crime may be punished heavily. It may lead to expulsion from the institution.

2. Use of mobile phones in the classroom and library is strictly prohibited.

3. Sitting on the railings in the college campus is not allowed.

4. Smoking is strictly forbidden both inside and outside of the college campus, hostels and canteens etc.

5. Silence should be maintained in the classroom, the library and the corridors of the college, so that the atmosphere in the college remains perfectly congenial to studies.

6. Show proper respect to the teachers and carried out their instructions most faithfully.

7. Bring the identity card daily and produce it, if any member of the staff or official of the college demands at any time. Identity card may be check at the entry gate of the college and those without it will not allowed to enter.

8. Abide by all rules, regulations and instructions issued by the college from time to time.

9. Inculcate high moral values of life such as truth, honesty and devotion to duty.

10. Students must make the best use of time and spend it in creative and constructive activities for their own betterment and that of the nation, rather than wasting it away by hanging out casually in the college or indulging in futile exercise.

11. Students should be punctual in attending their classes, functions and fulfilling the appointments.

12. Exhibit fine manners and excellent behaviour, use decent language, be courteous and polite in dealing with fellow students and college staff, as this would add to your own credit as also to that of your Alma - Matter.

13. Observe proper decorum in and outside the classroom and at the functions organized in the college. Students should respect their parents and elders from the core of their hearts.

14. Students should endeavour to keep the environment neat, clean and beautiful at home and at college by using the dustbin and by avoid littering.

15. Quarrels and disputes should be avoided, In the event of dispute, a written complaint should be made to the Principal at once. No one is allowed to take the law in his/her own hands.

16. Students should understand that the college property is a national trust and as such its is as much their responsibility as that of the administration. Therefore, no one should disfigure furniture deface walls with pencil, chalk and knife marks. Damage to the college property will not be condoned under any circumstances.

17. Students are required not to remove chairs/furniture from any room.

18. Students must keep their vehicles at the parking place. Plying of vehicles at the college campus is not allowed.

19. Utilize free period in reading books, magazines and newspapers available in the library.

20. Students must make it a point to see the notice board and read the latest notices. Ignorance of the orders duly displaces on the Notice Board shall not be accepted as an excuse for non - compliance.

21. A Student will be punished, rusticated or expelled from the college, If he/she directly or indirectly takes part or induces others to do so in any movement, agitation or strikes in the college for any reason, whatsoever which, in the opinion of the Principal is subversive of the college discipline.

22. All students are instructed to put their Biometric Attendance t entry & exit time in college.

COLLEGE LEAVE RULES

1. Leave can be applied by filling e-leave form in advance. In case of medical leave, a medical certificate must be uploaded / submitted along with the leave application. Leave will be granted by the Principal. Student age / Ex-will get approval / rejection of leave as per the college rules. Long leaves on account of medical reasons / marriage / Ex-India leave supported by relevant documents will be granted only by the Principal.

2. For a leave of more than six days, the student or his relative should meet the Registrar personally with the hard copy of application & relevant documents before availing the leave.

3. On the days when special functions are held, leave will be granted by the Principal. Leave sanctioned will not relax 80% attendance condition. In order to be eligible for RUNS examination, the students have to fulfill the attendance condition under any circumstances.

4. All leave including duty leave on account of sports/cultural/academic reasons should be got sanctioned in advance.

5. If a student remain absent without leave continuously for six days, his/her name will be struck off the college rolls. There will be only two chances of re-admission.

6. First time student can get re-admission himself/herself.

7. Second time the student will have to come with their parents for re-admission.

8. No leave will be accepted in back - date.

IDENTITY CUM LIBRARY CARD

1. Each student has issued and Identity cum Library Card bearing his or her photograph name and roll number. All students are required to carry their Identity cards with them while on the campus. The defaulters will be fined heavily. If the Identity card is lost, a duplicate card can be issued on payment of Rs. 100 /-.

2. The Identity card has to be deposited back at the end of the session. Defaulters will not be issued their No dues Certificate / Detailed Marks Card / Character Certificate / Degree, etc., in case they fail to do so.

GIRL STUDENTS

Special Attention is paid to the general welfare and security of girls. Separate facilities like a common rooms for girls and separate tables in the college library have been provided. so as to help them feel comfortable. Arrangements also exists for providing adequate facilities for girls who want to take part in any kind of sports and extra - curricular activities. Other than these, the girl students can also avail themselves of the special facilities provided b the college in case of emergency.

NEW ADMISSION PROCESS

* For Admission the following Documents / Certificates are required (In Case of New Admission / Hostel Admission).

1. Statement of Marks of Xth Std. examination (Original)

2. State of Marks of Xllth Std. examination (Original)

3. Proof of S.C. / S.T. / OBC / Handicapped (Original)

4. Transfer Certificate (Original)

5. Character Certificate

6. Residence Proof

7. Aadhar Card (Photocopy)

8. Medical Fitness Certificate

9. Passport Size 6 Photographs

10. Gap Certificate

* Upload the required and relevant Certificates.

**Subject to change as per the RUHS Guidelines.

* Fill the form.

* If the admission is granted, the fee amount would not be Returned /Refunded under any circumstances.

* A student leaving midstream in the academic session will not be refunded tuition fee etc.

All admissions done will be provisional and subject to the verification of documents by RUHS. If any document or information is found to be false / incorrect / concealed at any stage, the admission may stand cancelled. There will be no refund of fees in that case.

Our College Committee Against Sexual Harassment

The College Committee is constituted against Sexual Harassment (CCAH).

Definition of Sexual Harassment :

Sexual Harassment includes any one or more of the following unwelcome acts or behavior (whether directly or by implication) namely : -

1. Physical Contact and advances or

2. A Demand or request for sexual favours or

3. Making a sexual coloured remarks or

4. Showing pornography or

5. Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non - verbal conduct of sexual nature.

Functions of the Committee

1. Committee shall assist in resolving the cases on the campus through mediation of crises arising out of such incidents.

2. Committee shall coordinate with the security staff to devise ways and means by which a system of crises management that is gender sensitive is put in place.

3. Committee shall organize training workshops for students, academic staff, non - teaching staff, employees and service providers to sensitize them against sexual harassment of women at workplace.

The Complaint may be reported within 3 months from the date of incident and in case of a series incidents, within a period of three months from date of last incident.

Our Anti Ragging Rules

" RAGGING IS TOTALLY BANNED "

Ragging Means

Any conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating and handling with rudeness any other student, indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.

Punishable Ingredients of Ragging

Abetment to ragging; Criminal conspiracy to rag; Unlawful assembly and rioting while ragging; Public nuisance created during ragging; Violation of decency and morals through ragging; Injury to body, causing hurt or grievous hurt; Wrongful restraint; Wrongful confinement; Use of Criminal force; Assault as well as sexual offences or unnatural offences; Extortion; Criminal trespass; Offences against property; Criminal Intimidation; Attempts to commit any or all of the above mentioned offences against the victim (s); Physical or psychological humiliation; All other offences following from the definition of "Ragging".

Anti Ragging Committee

The College Committee is constituted against Anti Ragging.

Punishments

At the institution level : Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established by the Anti - ragging Committee of the institution, the possible punishments for those who found guilty of ragging at the institution level shall be anyone or any combination of the following :

1. Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.

2. Withholding / withdrawing scholarship /fellowship and any other benefits.

3. Debarring from appearing in any test/examination or any other evaluation process.

4. Withholding results.

5. Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc.

6. Suspension / expulsion from the hostel.

7. Cancellation of admission.

8. Rustication from the institution for period ranging from 1 to 4 semesters.

9. Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for a specified period.

10. Fine ranging between Rs. 25,000 /- to Rs. 1 Lakh.

11. Collective punishment : When the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not identified the institution shall resort to collective punishment.
